श्री कालकाजी मंदिर (Shri Kalkaji Mandir) dedicated to Maa Aadi Shakti (Maa Kali), near Array metro station, also called Jayanti Peetha1 or Manokamna Siddha Peetha. Manokamna literally means desire, Siddha means fulfillment, and `Peetha` means shrine. So, it is believed to be the holy shrine where one gets the blessings of Maa Kalika Devi for the fulfillment of one's desires. Shri Swayambhu Mahakaleshwar Shiv Mandir is also attached with this premises.
During the Mahabharata, Lord Krishna and the Pandavas are said to have worshipped Goddess Kalika during the reign of Yudhisthir. It also believe, Kalkaji Mandir is most oldest Maa Kali temple in the world.

माँ काली (Maa Kali) also known as कालिका (Kalika) means black one and force of time, therefore called the Goddess of Time, Change, Power, Creation, Preservation, and Destruction. When the Goddess Parvati removed outer golden skin to kill demons named Shumbha and Nishumbha, She was known as Goddess Kalaratri. Kalaratri is the fiercest and the most ferocious form of Goddess Parvati. Goddess Kalaratri complexion is dark black. Because of her Shubh or auspicious power within her ferocious form Goddess Kalaratri is also known as Goddess Shubhankari (शुभंकरी), also defeats the demon Raktabija(Bloodseed)
